Applying a Labor Difficulty Factor to Work Locations

To apply a Labor Difficulty Factor to a work location

When extra labor costs are anticipated at selected work locations of a design, you can apply a Labor Difficulty Factor to make your cost estimates more accurate. The Labor Difficulty Factor increments the labor cost of all units assigned directly to the selected work location or all units assigned to a feature at the work location. For more information, see Labor Difficulty Factor.

Applying a multiplier involves selecting the design element in the Design Workspace and editing its Labor Difficulty Factor property terrain. For example, you can specify a Labor Difficulty Factor using the Work Location Properties dialog box. If you have specified a value for the Labor Difficulty Factor as a design property, this value will be overridden by the new value.

The Labor Difficulty Factor can also be applied to selected assigned features or units at a work location rather than to the entire work location. See Allocating Extra Material and Quantities to Assigned Features and Allocating Extra Material and Quantities to an Assigned Unit.

  1. From the list of work locations displayed in the Design Workspace, right-click the work location that requires extra labor and select Properties from the shortcut menu to open the Work Location Properties dialog box.
  2. In the Labor Difficulty Factor box, type a value or select from the list of available values.
  3. Click OK to save your change.
